Problems are like Mushrooms, the longer you leave them in the dark, the bigger they get.

Jason Martinez
Product Designer

Welcome! I am Jason. I spend my days as the Principal Product Designer leading design at New Innovations Inc. I am constantly foraging for the mushrooms. Creating positive user outcomes starts with understanding what that mushroom is about. Discovering the shape, the size, where it grows, and who wants it or needs it. By taking the approach of THINKING, MAKING, & CHECKING, we can build products that change people’s lives for the better. Even the smallest change can make a big difference.

"what have i to got
learn here" is
my motto

Simple but powerful. There is always something I can learn at all stages. It’s the growth that drives the outcomes and success.

1. Thinking

The research into the problem. Asking questions and forming hypotheses to explore. Determine what success is for the outcome.

2. Making

Iterating on ideas, testing, and implementing improvement that is learned. Making sure what is being designed/built will achieve success.

3. checking

Measure and learn. Gather the results and re-enter the process if needed—continuous learning to give users the optimal experience.

“There is no growth in comfort. its good to be uncomfortable.”
